Eliminate a French Traitor running an Interrogation facility

My favorite story I heard from Scott was the time he was picked up by the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) to perform a mission.  Scott said the CIA often had him and other snipers do missions.

One day a helicopter landed and a couple of CIA agents came for him to perform a mission.  They asked him if he had a ever killed a white man before and if he had a problem killing a white man.  Scott told them "no and he said he assumed the man had it coming to him."  They said "good, then your coming with us" and they took him but wouldn't tell him the mission until they arrived at their destination.  The agents and Scott then flew into Cambodia via helicopter into a heavily treed area.  They then began to tell him his mission.

Prior to the American entering the war the French were there for many years.  One of the French soldiers had defected and was now there running a torture, interrogation facility.  The CIA agents said they had surveillance photos and other evidence of American prisoners being taken to a building and taken out later dead.  They went further to say that this man apparently greatly enjoyed his work.   Scott said he was starting to look forward to taking this man out.

After landing, Scott and the two agents walked a few miles through the forest until they came to a large clearing.  The clearing was about a mile and half in diameter with a large, beautiful two story home in the middle with a prison like building next to it.  It was dawn and there appeared to be around a few dozen soldiers standing and walking around the complex.  The agents peered through binoculars and Scott used the scope of the riffle to look for the target.  Scott said he didn't know what to expect other than a white man in a group of Vietnamese soldiers.

After only a short period of time, a very distinguished man walked out from the house and began standing in the courtyard of this complex.  Scott said he was stunned at his appearance.  This white man was wearing a smoking jacket, had a nicely trimmed beard and looked totally out of place.  Scott said he reminded him of a college professor.   After a few moments of staring through his scope, the CIA agents confirmed the target and Scott took his shot.

Scott said he always aimed for the chest but at long distances, he didn't always get the kill with one shot.  This time, Scott said he expected to have to take another shot, but the shot hit the Frenchman squarely in the chest and he fell down hard.  The three of them waited a moment to verify there was no moment in the Frenchman before then they would leave.  As they stood up underneath the tree covering at the edge of the clearing they could see dozens of men running from the encampment shooting wildly at their direction.  Scott said it was a strange feeling for a few minutes as they started back to the helicopter and they could hear bullets striking the leaves and branches above them.   They made it back and left with no incident.
