Paula

While working on a contract at Lyondell Petrochemical, I was on a team of five people.   We were converting the whole company from 286 PC to new Gateway 386 PCs to run Windows 3.1.  It involved a lot of integration of old DOS and mainframe systems.  All five of us would meet up for lunch and either go out in teams or break up individually to get our tasks done.   This has to be one of my fun-est assignments.  We all developed strong bonds of friendships where for years afterwards we would meet up for lunch and happy hours.

One day at lunch we all decided to tell each other our most embarrassing moments.  Paula was usually my running buddy on assignments.  She was five years older than me, very beautiful, very vivacious and always like kidding around.  Her favorite thing to say to me when I hadn't seen her for a few hours was, "Do you still love me?"  I tell you this so you can get a picture of her in your mind.

Paula shocked us all with her story.  She told us that she had a pool in her back yard with high fences and trees surrounding the perimeter so that neighbors couldn't see the pool.  One weekday she took off from work and decided to get a tan.  Since she had complete privacy Paula said she took off her top then her bottom to get an even tan.  She said she was out for around two hours sleeping when she woke up to see her neighbor on top of his roof with binoculars looking at her.  Paula said she jumped into the pool and swam to a corner where he couldn't view her and then ran into the house.

We all started laughing hysterically and asked if the neighbor ever came over to apologize or if her husband went to talk to him.  She said no on the first question and she was to embarrassed to have her husband go and talk to him about it.
