Snow in Houston Area on Christmas Eve 2004

The last really big snow was in 1970 where someone could make snowballs and snowmen.  After 1970 there have been light snowfalls which left the ground and roof tops white but nothing like 1970, unless you lived in Victoria, TX, which is an hour from Stafford; and they got 11 inches.  Never the less, this was a big event since it was Christmas Eve, where it must have been 70 plus years since the last time snow fell on this day.
