Les Gavin from Scotland
April 2008

On the last weekend of May of 2008, my good friend Les Gavin came across from Scotland to see his niece get married and visit me and Phil Simpkin.  I met Les and Phil on my first trip across to Aberdeen Scotland back in the late 1990s and over the course of some six trips for business along with them coming over to Houston to work on a software system I was designing, we all became good friend.  On a few trips, my wife Johnna went across also and became good friend with Les and Phil also.  Later in 2006, Phil moved to Houston and my wife and I are good friends with Phil and his wife Margaret.  Recently, Les had a on the job accident which left him with a debilitated back injury requiring a cane to walk along with forcing him to retire early.  Early in Les's life he was one of the founding members of a motorcycle gang in Scotland which has grown quire large in the UK.

For a few days, another good friend Dave Dyer, Phil Simpkin and I took Les around a few places to see some sights before he flew back.
