On the morning of Tuesday, September 2nd, Genia and I drove up to spend a couple of days in Dallas, TX as the Gaylord Texan Hotel and Convention Center.  We have been to the Gaylord Palms in Kissimmee, Florida a few times and love the ocean and fresh water aquatic themes.  The Gaylord Texan's theme is of course the great State of Texas with an Alamo facade against one side of the giant festive atrium area of the main part of the hotel.

Our first night, we met up with my cousin Tricia and her husband Chris Heaton at Haywire Restaurant in Legacy Town Center North in Dallas.  It is always a lot of fun to meet and catch up with Tricia and Chris.

Gaylord Texan Atrium - arriving at Gaylord Texan after lunch on Wednesday, September 2nd
1 Walking into the atrium.
2 Alamo - We were on the top floor center room, directly above the water jet with the brown peered balcony.
3 Looking down at the water jet fountain
4 Beautiful stream running around the atrium with several waterfalls with nice sidewalks to enjoy the views.
5 Two very nice running toy trains in a small town setting in the main corridor of the atrium, -->  (Info on Train Town)

7 Another beautiful sidewalk inside the atrium
