Saturday, August 15th, Genia and I had an awesome time with good friends Mike and Louise Moir down in Galveston. We left at 10am in the morning thinking we would have enough time to do everything and didn't.

The day's itinerary:

We started off with the Galveston Ferry Ride to/from Bolivar Peninsula with a quick drive around the peninsula.
Lunch off the Sea Wall at Landry's.
Walked and shopped the Galveston Strand where we ate too much ice cream from La King's Confectionery Tavern.
Late afternoon swimming.
Nice visit at the Porch Café Restaurant on the east side of the island.

We all got home at 10:30 in the evening, having a great daycation!
