EVENTS, ACCOUNTS, AND THEORIES:
SOME OF THE EVENTS WHICH OCCURRED DURING THE EARLIER DAYS
of the German Coast are outlined in this chapter, as well as theorized accounts stated by this author
as to the outcome of many items which affected the future generations.
THE FRENCH-SPANISH REVOLUTION:
ONE OF THE NOTABLE EVENTS WHICH OCCURRED DURING THE EARLY periods of the settlements along the German Coast was
the fighting which took place known as the French-Spanish War. In 1768, New Orleans was taken under
Spanish rule as a result of conflicts between Spain and France. New Orleans came under the jurisdiction
of a Spanish governor who dictated that various new rules be enforced upon the people of the German Coast.
The first battle of the Spanish-French Revolution began on the German Coast as a result of a Spanish
armada which sailed up the Mississippi River to establish a headquarter along the river, with Spanish
officials presiding.
THESE FORCED LAWS DID NOT APPEAL TO THE GERMANS ON THE COAST, and therefore, a band of citizens marched to New Orleans and demanded that the Spanish be driven out
of the Coast. This appeal was made to the few French officials left in New Orleans. This appeal was made
