ANOTHER GENTLEMAN MENTIONED IN THE BOOK BY MILLET WAS A
person by the name of Theodore Montz. An account of him went like this:

" In spite of the hardships of war and flood, Theodore the last of his generation, spent his whole life farming on the old estate (note this for later reference).  In 1874, he was married to Palmyre Poche of St. James parish, who died in 1886 at the age of thirty years.  She left four children. At that time he lived with his mother, sister, and his two brothers in the old homestead. His two sons were old enough to go to St. Aloysius College in New Orleans and both graduated later from Tulane University, one being an architect and the other a doctor, both beginning their work in New Orleans. Antoine was the doctor, Andrew was the architect (who designed St. Peter's in Reserve).  In 1892, Theodore's mother died. Joseph died in 1905; Dantes died in 1918; so in 1922, when his sister died he was left alone with his youngest daughter, Rosa.  Antoinette, his eldest daughter, had lived there a few years after her husband died but had moved away prior to that time. On January 12, 1924, he took into his home as an orphan, Thelma Barre, who helped make the last years of his life more comfortable and enjoyable. His children were:

Antoinette, who was married to Pierre Brady, children
Palmyre, Yvonne, Pierre, Theodore, and Antoine.
Antoine, died in 1924, married to Marie Para, daughter Mabel.
Andrew, married to Laura Arnoult, children Lucille, Evelyn, Genevieve, Laura, Andrew Jr., James, Stanley. Rosa, unmarried still lives in the old Montz home,
WHICH ACCORING TO TRADITION WAS BUILT ALMOST TWO HUNDRED YEARS AGO (1939).
