so sad. Sid was on the front line and was wounded three times.  When I heard these things, my insides use to get into a lump.  It was awful. Noney was a navigator in the Pacific waiting to be blown up any minute. Ed was fighting the Japs. Lynn was working on the planes in England where they were bombing all the time. How I thank God after 16 years for bringing them all back. Sid was in the invasion of Normandy, was in some of the worst battles, liberated some in Dauchan Camp where they killed millions of Jews. Enough about the war.

... Noney married Cathernine Brennan. The flower is Edward Montz. They live in Metairie on Brockenbrough. Have a nice home. Noney is a Chemist. Ed lives in Texas, married Wanda Barger. He was a Geologist, now works for the government. He has three boys- Randy, Tim, and Steve. Sid is my bachelor.  Luckily I have him with me. I often wonder what he will do when I am gone. Jennie married George Gist. A very good boy. They have two children- Larry and Jackie. George is a business man. Larry married Julie Provost on Aug. 27, 1960.  They were both 19. Jackie is only 17 years old... her last year of high school. Lynn is married to Josie Liberto, with five children. They are John Lynn, Madlynn, Peggie, Christopher, and Charles. All these people came from the Madere Gabot Montz roots.

Papa's father was Alces Montz married Eliska Keller.  They only had three children, Zenon, Azema, and Leontine. Leontine married Pierre Brignac. They had seven children, Eliska, Edith, Etta, Eunna, Eula, and Vivian. The boy they named him "Yu Yu" so I don't know his name. They are all married except Etta. She was to be married but both boys died before the wedding. Your grandfather Montz must have 84 years old when he died. He died when we lived on Freret about 27 years ago.

This is about all of the Montz family. Azema and Leoztine still live but Leontine must be 87 years old. She lives in St. James, Louisiana. These are my first cousins: Etoemme, Desiree sons still living. Renee is dead, Leonce is dead, rielle died years ago when she was very young. Roger is married has only one son. He is a grandfather. Pauline is my favorite cousin. I think I love her more because her mother use to be good to us.

....I am 73 years old, will be 74 on January 13, 1960.

....Zenon Montz Sr. was 78 when he died April 14, 1957. It was Palm Sunday at noon. We were married 48 years. I always intended to celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary. Papa is buried in the Garden of Memories in Metairie. I had Inez's body brought there on our plot also.

....In my old days I am a very lonesome old lady. My children are very nice and sweet to me.
